Morning:

Your safari guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Settle into your comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle and begin the journey. The drive is an experience in itself as you descend into the Great Rift Valley. A stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic photo opportunity of one of the world's most significant geological features.

Afternoon:

Arrive at the Jambo Mara Safari Lodge (or similar). You'll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and check-in. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge's restaurant, often with a view of the surrounding plains where animals may already be grazing.

Evening: First Game Drive

Embark on your first thrilling game drive. The soft, golden light of the late afternoon is perfect for photography. Your expert guide will help you spot elephants, towering giraffes, herds of zebras, and various antelope. Keep your eyes peeled for predators like lions, cheetahs, or leopards becoming active as the day cools.

Dinner & Overnight:

Return to the lodge as the sun sets. Enjoy a hearty dinner featuring a mix of local and international cuisine. Later, relax by a campfire (if available) and listen to the unforgettable sounds of the African night before retiring to your comfortable room.

Morning to Afternoon (Full-Day Game Drive):

After an early breakfast, set out with a packed picnic lunch for a full day of adventure. This extended drive allows you to explore the remote corners of the reserve.

Key Highlights: Traverse the vast grasslands, visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles basking on the banks.

The Great Migration: If you are visiting between July and October, your guide will prioritize the river crossing points for a chance to witness the dramatic, thunderous spectacle of thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing the river.

Picnic Lunch: Enjoy your lunch at a designated scenic spot right in the heart of the bush—an unforgettable experience.

Dinner & Overnight:

After a day filled with incredible sightings, return to the Jambo Mara Lodge. Share stories and photos over a well-deserved dinner and enjoy your final night in the wild.

Cultural Visit: Take the optional visit to an authentic Maasai Village. This is a fascinating opportunity to learn firsthand about the traditions, unique social structure, vibrant songs, and energetic warrior jumps of the renowned Maasai people. (Note: There is usually a separate fee for this visit, payable directly to the community, 20$ per person.)

Drop-Off:

Arrive in Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel.
