Shamanism retreat in Kathmandu

Arrive at Kathmandu's international airport (KTM). Our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, an expert will provide an introductory session on the history and principles of Nepalese Shamanism, preparing you for the journey ahead.

Visit some of Kathmandu's most important spiritual sites, including the Pashupatinath Temple and the Boudhanath Stupa. Learn about how Shamanism coexists and has influenced both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and observe daily rituals and ceremonies.

Travel to a sacred space to meet with a local shaman. This day is dedicated to a personal consultation and healing session. The shaman may perform a divination, a cleansing ritual using sound and rhythm, and a blessing ceremony to help restore your inner balance.

Engage in hands-on workshops and classes. Learn about the use of traditional tools like the dhyangro (framed drum), the significance of mantras and mandalas, and the local perspective on the spirit world. You will also learn basic meditative and breathing techniques.

Take a guided excursion outside the city to a serene, natural power place, such as a local forest or waterfall. This day focuses on connecting with nature and the elements, which are central to shamanic beliefs. A guided meditation session will take place in this tranquil setting.

The final full day involves a powerful group ritual led by a shaman. This ceremony will focus on clearing negative energy and celebrating your journey. In the evening, a farewell dinner will be held, giving you a chance to share your experiences with your fellow participants.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or reflection. You will then be transferred to the airport for your onward flight home.
