Маршрут
День 1. Welcome to Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve
Your Amazon adventure begins at El Puente, where you’ll pause to enjoy a tasty box lunch before boarding a motorized canoe. As we navigate for 2–3 hours down the narrow Cuyabeno River, the rainforest comes alive: monkeys leaping through branches, herons and kingfishers flying overhead, and the occasional splash from a river dolphin. Upon arrival at your accommodations, you’ll settle into your room surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. After a hearty dinner, your guide will introduce the Cuyabeno Reserve and the exciting activities planned for the coming days.

День 2. Exploring Laguna Grande by Traditional Killa de Re
After breakfast, we embark on a full-day exploration of the upper Cuyabeno Reserve in a killa de remo, a traditional canoe carved from chuncho wood. We’ll paddle peacefully upriver for about 1.5 hours to reach Laguna Grande, passing through flooded igapó forests and giant macrolobium trees growing straight out of the water. Along the way, you’ll spot colorful orchids, vibrant butterflies, and perhaps curious squirrel monkeys. We’ll hike the Palma Roja Trail for around 3 hours in search of toucans, howler monkeys, and other rainforest inhabitants. After a lakeside lunch, you can swim in the calm waters and, weather permitting, watch a spectacular Amazon sunset before returning for dinner.

Overnight: Amazon Lodge
День 3. Discovering Nature and Local Community Traditions
The day begins early at 6:00 a.m. with birdwatching along the river, the perfect time to see parrots, herons, and other active morning wildlife. After breakfast, we travel by motorized canoe for two hours downstream, keeping an eye out for playful monkeys and dazzling butterflies. Around midday, we reach Puerto Bolívar and a nearby Cofan community, where we meet a local shaman. He will share ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants and perform a traditional ceremony.
After lunch, we visit the Siona community to learn the art of making casabe, a traditional cassava bread from harvest to tasting. Later, enjoy a sunset canoe ride on Laguna Grande in a killa de remo, followed by a night walk to spot frogs, owls, and other nocturnal creatures before dinner at 8:30 pm.
Meals included: B/L/D
Overnight: Amazon Lodge
День 4. Farewell Cuyabeno
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the rainforest. Our team will prepare your luggage and ensure it’s safely loaded onto the canoe. We’ll travel back along the Cuyabeno River to El Puente, enjoying one last look at the lush landscapes and wildlife. From here, your return journey to civilization begins, but the sounds, colors, and spirit of the Amazon will stay with you long after you’ve left.
